| Hey all, just wondering if there's still meetings and the such happening... me and my friends went to them when they were at the park but we haven't heard from you guys since mardigrass And also I want the park open more than ever, I can skate ramps properly now! And ALSO I read that canna (or some company, idk who it was) donated 50, 000 but its a conditional contract or something, so now we only have to raise 50k instead of 100k? Was it bullshit or did that happen?

| hi cameron, thanks for making it to this forum, yes, yes and yes... Meeting of the FONS happen every 2nd Friday, we usually meet out the back of the Oasis Cafe, sometimes we turn up a bit late, but there is always someone at the meeting. If you're not sure when it's on, check the home page on the website - http://sk8park.nimbincommunity.org.au/index.htm if you want to know what's going on, read the minutes which are listed on this page- http://sk8park.nimbincommunity.org.au/fons%20additions/2008/fons%20pages/pages/updates.html or read the Nimbin Goodtimes, we give updates monthly in the goodtimes. Bro... i skate too, and i love the Nimbin skatepark, that's why i am involved in trying to get it open (legally), Lismore council elections are taking place in september, if you want the park open then remind the councillors how important this project is for nimbin, make it a council election issue, we need more support from council and this may be the only way to get it. You are always welcome at our meetings, everyone involved is giving it as much as we can, but we are only a handful of volunteers, if nimbin wants it open, nimbin needs to get involved (constructively), so please, write to council, call jenny dowell, make a petition, come to our meetings, write to the newspaper, this park will only open if WE FIGHT FOR IT. hope to see you at our next meeting Cameron, Duncan |
